Couple of Whole Unit Price Checks please...

Do you think I am guessing about right when I say £550 for the Antec rig and £350 for the old Dell?

Antec 300 Rig:

RAM: 2x 512MB Kingston DDR2 @ 667MHz CAS5 + 2x 512MB DaneElec DDR2 @ 667MHz
GPU: 256MB Brandless GeForce 8600GTS with moderate OC
HDDs: 1x 500GB Samsung SpinPoint F3 7200RPM, 16MB cache
Optical Drive: TSST Corp DVD-ROM / CD-RW
Card Reader: All-in-One
PSU: 300w
OS: Windows XP Professional 32-bit (original COA)

I would prefer that they are sold as whole units rather than individual components for the sake of not having to break them down and package individually.

Also, should I strip off all apps etc. or keep them as a selling point?

Most people expect to pay no more that half the new price for a second hand PC, in my experience. I recently put together a new build for a mate very similar to your Antec 300 rig that he only paid £600 for, and you could knock up a new PC with similar specs to that Vostro for ~ £300. So I think your best prices are likely to be nearer £400 and £250, really...

If you've got decent apps and they're properly licensed then I'd be inclined to leave them on, but you'll need to be careful to ensure that you've deleted (ideally with something like FileShredder) any personal data, user accounts etc. - don't forget that personal data can get stuck in a lot of random places on Windows...

It would be a load of old Adobe CS3 apps with an education license and a volume-licensed Office 2010 Professional Plus that I would leave on the Antec, but the Vostro would be bare.
