Am potentially in a position to get hold of a Sony Vaio laptop, which when new in 2007 was over £2k.
Vaio VGN-TZ12VN.

I have 2 concerns, and wanted to run them past people before I committed myself.
Firstly, a different friend tells me that the general build quality of Vaios has declined alot since 4 to 5 years ago. I am hoping however that at the top end of their market, they are still build well.
Secondly, since this is (i suppose) one of the first SSD's, I imagine that it wouldnt have TRIM. Although its not a technology that I really understand, I gather it relates to the overall slowdown / responsiveness of the drive over time - is this likely to pose a measurable problem, or should I aim to swap the drive for a mechanical HDD?
Thanks chaps as always
