    HDD shopping 1/2 or 1 tb f3?

Scan today only has the 1 and 1/2 tb F3s on offer for 37 and 55 pounds. I have been thinking of getting the 500GB for a while now. I popped the 1/2gb into my basket.

A little voice popped into my head saying "You should get the 1TB for only 50% more and double the capacity."

On the other shooulder a voice said get the 500gb you'll never fill the 1Tb and it is just as fast.

The first voice then said "you'll regret it".

Who should I listen too? I will use the drive for storing photos, films and gaming. Money is not that tight but I am.

There is also a 16gb usb stick for £18 or so; these seems about normal. Are there cheaper places to get one?

    I seek guidance!

Get the 500gb and save some cash. Save up for an SSD!

I have both. The 500gb is 3c cooler and vibrates a little less. But you can never have too much storage

The F3 500GB is a single platter hard disk. I have one myself and it is pretty fast IMHO.

Re: HDD shopping 1/2 or 1 tb f3?

I'd have got the 1 Tb version but then I do download stupid amounts of DJ mixes all the time from all various genres.

That reminds me I need to replace my 500 Gb Seagates soon and I might get some 2 Tb to swap them out with when I've got some cash.
