I got one of these recently as a short-term replacement for my Saitek.

My criteria for purchase were it was low profile, shiny black & cheap. Just wanted it to look good on the big black glass desk I have & not much else.

However, after a few months of use... I love it! The action is minimal, smooth & quiet. The low profile keys work just as well with a light touch or if you're hammering out a long article or essay. Plus there's no gaps to attract all the usual kack that gets entrapped in other designs.

No frills, whistles, bells, and fancy stuff, just quiet efficiency.

imho, a worthy purchase for anyone wanting a no-nonsense good looking & durable keyboard.

Scissor action keys are generally nice for touch typing, however they are all to prone to damage from fiddling and being picked at.

Old style keyboards do have the advantage over laptop style keyboards in that they are far more rugged and can take much higher levels of abuse.

I was just imagining that, a PC build approach to keyboards.

Although you can come to your own defense saying you're avoiding RSI, something that was almost unheard of in the days of typewriters mainly due to the force required to hit the keys, it's all the rappid, shallow & weak movements of the fingers when you touch type that brings on RSI with far more rappidity.

Must stress this is not actually for me, but a build I'm doing, I wanted a keyboard that looked very good, contemporary and would fit in with the black and white colour scheme of the build.
And while it's the most money I've EVER spent on a keyboard it does look amazing and is very nice to type on.
I doubt it would be as nice as a normal keyboard for gaming and the space bar feels a bit loose for my liking (but I also find the space bar on almost every laptop I've used to feel a bit loose to me and even my normal hp keyboard that I use I find a bit loose feeling.)

just poped the space bar to look see, I rekon it will be very easy to rectify, a couple of small squares of paxmate on the underside should dampen it nicely.

The few recent Logitech keyboards I got wasn't really up to the bar and the keys just keep getting stuck Need a keyboard that can handle 500+ characters per minute.

If you're talking about the basic logitech keyboard (deluxe 250) sticky key issue is very simple to fix, simply pop the sticky key, Shave the edges of the post on the under side of the key with a knife.

Don't ask me what a keyboard is like at 500+ CPM because don't type that fast.

They both look good, except for the small return key. Prefer the large L shaped return key instead.
