Re: Price check - Computer Q9550/DDR3

Some of that will have held it value very well.

    DDR3 esp if it's under 1.7v

    my estimate would be

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz (FSB 1333MHz) Socket 775 L2 12MB Cache (£175)
    £100ish

GPU PowerColor HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card(£115)
    £90ish

Mobo: Foxconn BLACKOPS X48 Socket 775 DDR3 7.1 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard (£85)
    . . . not sure probably £50

Case: Antec 300 Three Hundred Case(£45)
    Condition? £35-40 if good

    PSU: Antec Basiq Power 550W PSU - 6x SATA 2x PCI-E 20+4pin ATX12V 4/8pin (£55)
£20-25 sorry but the Basiq are antec's budget range and are not that good.

    RAM: Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10666 XMS3 DHX Memory Kit (£75)
if under 1.7v then £75 still if it's the 1.8v version then less, £60

HDD: Samsung Ecogreen 1.5tb Hard Drive SATAI 5400rpm 32mb Cache (£75)
    HDD: 500gb Seagate 7200rpm SATAII HDD (£35)
Not sure here, £20-25 on the seagate

    Monitor: Viewsonic VX2260WM Full HD 22" TFT Monitor 1920x1080 20,000:1 (dynamic) 300cd/m2 2ms VGA/DVI-D/HDMI Black (£135)
    Probably still £135, over £100

    HP DVD1160i 22x DVD±RW DL & DVD-Ram (£28)
£28?? that's quite pricey for a dvd drive new.
£10-15, £20 if light scribe, (if sata, knock another £5 off if ide)

Even if the DDR3's 1.8v just advertise it as an AM3-ready kit - Phenom's can take the voltage

Re: Price check - Computer Q9550/DDR3

The Q9550 seems to have gone for between £130 to £185 on Ebay in the last week. It is holding its price very well as many people seem to be upgrading from Core2 dual cores to Core2 quad cores to give their system a longer lifespan. Probably the price of DDR3 RAM has meant many people have considered upgrading their system instead of getting new motherboard, processor and RAM.
