Decided to start this poll after noticing an increase in the number of laptops we sell at work, and the fact that I've just got one :p.
So, poll time.
Mine's an Acer TravelMate 804LCi w/Intel Pentium-M 1.7/512MB RAM/60GB HDD.

I got a Dell Inspiron 2500... 1 GHz PIII, 20GB HDD and 512MB RAM
Sony Vaio thingy, average specs. My Dad uses it for Word and a game of Civ III.
Sony Vaio 1.2 AMD jobbie.
Sony Vaio GRX316MP...Pentium something or other, used to have 512Mb RAM until the slots started to fail (it's a problem with a lot of vaios) so now only have 256. But the beautiful thing about it...and the reason I still use it a hell of a lot...is the stunning 16" 1600x1200 screen. It's a wonderful machine, and although I'm nicely settled down with my desktop now, I spent the last 12 months travelling round the world with it and it's been a cracking machine (apart from the fact it weighs about 9kg inc. powerpack, but what's curvature of the spine amongst friends?).
i recently bought one too :)
Its a P4 2.66 with a 20Gb HD and 256Mb RAm, use it mostly for college and internet.:)
Compaq evo p3 - runs great does everything I need and battery lasts 3.5hrs
need 1500 for the laptop i want :(
Haven't got one but ordering a Acer 2012WLCi the new widescreen models.
U missed out the Pentium M Processor, I know u have included the Pentium 4-M but they are a bit different. Or is the P4M just the centrino with a fancy name?
I have a Dell 8600 P 1.7 M, ATI 9600 PRO TURBO 128mb 512ram, 60 HD
Its rather good!
Voted P4-M even though it's actually P4 celeron based (256K cache though so better than the desktop P4 celerons)
ugh hate them
I have 3 :):
-66mhz compaq jobby
-Petium 150mhz, 1.2gb, CD, separate floppy
-Petium 3 600mhz, 10gb, CD, floppy.
All courstey of mums work :)
Centrino laptops use the Pentium-M processor. I called it Centrino to get an idea how many "new" laptops people were getting.Quote:
