850W PSU ok for a 5970 + 5850 ?

I have a 850w corsair PSU. Would it run a 5970 + 5850 in Tri-fire ?

A bit more detailed would come in handy you know - an overclocked Sempron 140 draws a lot less power than an overclocked i7 920....

Makes more sense to use a 5850 since the 5970 is clocked to 5850 speeds - 5870 is waste of money.

Anyway, as for your question, yeah it should fine. I'm going to post that graphic again...



It would be sufficient for two 480s in SLI with an i7 @ 4GHz. You're not likely to get close to that kind of power consumption.
