Watercooling upgrade advise
Hello all,
looking for some advise on updating my watercooling loop.
I've recently transferred my entire rig into an 800D, took 7 hours, don't know why i started it at 10pm hehe
Anwyay, where i've got my pump and the rest of the loop set up causes the last leg to the res to not fill entirely, it kinda gurgles a bit and it's freaking me the F out. i know it's fine, i've measured flow and temps etc just looking for a better way.
Pic of current set up: qburgmont.co.uk/n900/20100502_001.jpg (can't post links yet, heh)
Would a dual bay XSPC res with built in pump fix these issues?
My other idea was a laing pump mounted on a shelf in the bay under the current res.
Of the best ideas above, benefits of and locations for drainage.
Any other comments for improving the loop welcome.
Thanks
Re: Watercooling upgrade advise
pump rad cpu and vga ?
also tip the case to bleed it with a pipe connected to the filling hole to help bleed it ?
Re: Watercooling upgrade advise
Currently it's Res > Pump > CPU > Rad > GPU, so i'm wondering if that's the best way to do it.
I've tried to drain using my current bay red which didn't work too well, curious about where to put a T connector for that purpose. I'm not sure, looking for as many ideas as possible; if you were me, what would you do to improve that setup?
Re: Watercooling upgrade advise
I expect just tipping the case from side to side + forward and backward to get any trapped air out will do the trick. I've got a very similar setup, and it works fine.
Re: Watercooling upgrade advise
Also, you might want to reverse the rear fan on your case to help feed the radiator with cool air. Especially since you are partially blocking the intake with your pump.
