    Help Please :(

Just built the new computer and for the life of me I've tried everything it just wont do anything when I press the power button, the green light on the motherboard comes (when I turn the plug on that is) on but that is all the life I get out of it, all I can think of is the connectors for the on/off button for the case which I've tried putting them in at every different way, after the instructed way didn't work, any clue?

Oh BTW its a Asus P5KPL SE Mobo

    Reseated all components?
    PSU at right V?
Nothing shorting the mobo (used spacers) ?
    4Pin power plugged in?

    etc etc

The PSU is a Antec Basiq 500W
No I didn't use the copper spacers
and yes its the first time I've encountered 4 slots missing when I plugged in the PSU to the motherboard so I added the extra 4

The only thing I can think of is that the on/off button for the case, I must be doing that wrong but I've tried it almost every way

    Re: Help Please :(

just cross the power pin on the motherboard with a screwdriver, then you can eliminate the button.

Just put a screwdriver between the 2 pins that stick out, that'll create a connection then it should boot up. Then to turn it off just bridge the connection again.

    Re: Help Please :(

Putting a flat head between the two power_button pins i assume. Personally, i would get you've just plugged the Power button header on wrong.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
