What laptop? Possibly refurb
Wifes old acer travelmate appears to croak last night, will try an alternative power brick later, but think the mobo has blown.
Looking for a replacement cheap but business suitable laptop, she works at home 1 day a week, watched iplayer, email, etc. Trying to do this chep so started looking at reconditioned laptops, and had a dig around student computers, and turned up
HP 6910p
Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0 Ghz, 2GB RAM,80GB HDD,Wireless, Bluetooth, Windows Vista Business/Windows XP
For £230, seems like a good pricefor a model thats been around 2 1/2 years, and cost around £1000. Any thoughts on this, or something new around £300 thats worth considering. Also has anybody purchased a recon laptop from student, this ones classed as A-, like new goods can I return under DSR?
Cheers

Flibb check out the HP Compaq Rob has for sale in the classifieds section. It might be too small or underpowered (core2duo @ 1.2Ghz) for your needs, but it's worth consideration @ £105. I have this and think it would be perfect for travel/business use. It's excellent build quality, small, durable, fingerprint scanner if you need the security and is bright enough to comfortably use when running on the battery. Keyboard is also fantastic. Screen res is 1280 x 800 @ 12"

I had a look at that, very tempted, but the wife insists on at least 14 inches, I will be moving out next week.
Joking aside, she wanted a larger screen and ended up getting a rig from student computers, will do a review of their service in a bit, but have to say really impressed with the laptop and the way they do business.
