    36 vs 74 raptors....

Hello all again, hope you keeping it cool.. Just a little question for ya

When the 74 gig Raptors came out i know they featured improved seek times (down to 4.7 from 5.2 wasnt it) , comman queuing and much quieter operation than the original.

My question is - they came out almost 6 months ago now, so have the 36 giggers moved over to this improved process yet, or are WD still keeping a performance gap between the two?

I'm wondering cos at the end of the day all i want is enough room for windows, and silence...

Any of you guys know ?

hmmmm well apparently the 36gb has an access time of 3ms, whilst the 74gb has an access time of only 10ms

    must be custom jobs...

so no-one heard anything about the 36gbers being updated then..... damn
