Surround Sound/Good Speakers - Need to be connected to...

Looking for some Speakers/Possible surround sound that i can connect to as many of the following as possible.

Macbook - via headphone converted to red and white is most likely.
Vinyl Player - again red and white
Xbox 360 - optical if possible, if not same again red and white.

Need really to be as close to £100 as possible.

    Any suggestions?

    thank you.

    These: http://www.richersounds.com/product/...0/whar-9.0-che

    Plus this: http://www.richersounds.com/product/.../camb-a1v3-blk

Over budget, but will beat even the best PC speakers that are in budget.

I think that these http://www.richersounds.com/product/...o-1010i-cherry q-acousitics are quite highly rated. Also if you were wanting to go for a surround sound system in the future, both the wharfedale diamonds, or q-acoustics i linked to could be used in a multi channel system: http://www.richersounds.com/product/...1010i-5.1-pack out of your price range, but it shows how you could build it up if you chose to go in that direction.

Re: Surround Sound/Good Speakers - Need to be connected to...

From long experience, the wharfedales are going to rock.... but tbh, with those as sound sources, its not really going to make the slightest difference The Cambridge amp is very sweet, Ive used one in the past. You are not going to get a decent surround sound from straight stereo inputs, so stick to stereo.

Just dont get tempted into anything like the Acoustic Solutions kit !!
    Cheers, David

More so when I discovered they are store collection only and the closest is a 100+ mile round trip.

I didn't even get that far - I used their store finder, saw the nearest was ~50 miles away, stopped drooling and went back to being a tightass
