heat sink and fan compatible?
Hi. I'm looking to get this heatsink for my Core i7 930 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Proli...6-and-775-1366
It doesn't come with a fan so I was thinking of getting this for it
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/120mm...1D-Fan-800-RPM
Would this fan be OK for the heatsink or do I need something more powerful or with more RPM?
I chose the 2 products because of the quietness ratings on the Silent PC website, would anyone disagree that these would be pretty quiet?
Would the heatsink be too big for this case? http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Silve...m-Case-w-o-PSU
Also, on the Scan website there are 3 heat sinks all with the same name I do not know what their differences are does anybody know?

Thanks
Re: heat sink and fan compatible?
OK,
To try and answer that quickly...
Its a great heatsink, should fit fine in the case. If I was you I would get 1200rpm S-Flex as theres no noticble difference in noise to my ears between the two (very very quiet) and it will move a little more air.
The difference between the 3 is the 2nd one has fitting for 1156 socket as well as the other two and the last one comes in an anodized black finish. I would get the second since the price is the same, no reason not to.

+1 for the 1200RPM fan, it would make a marked difference to cooling (compared to 800RPM) without making much more noise (1200RPM are usually quiet still).
