Best air cooled case that fits a nividia 8800gts/gtx

was going to get the antec p182 but have found that the
8800 gts will fit
but 800 gtx will not fit

i cant afford the card at the moment but at hopefully will do

any other cases that will fit the gtx ?

Lian-Li V2000 will easily take any GPU card (8800GTX and Ultra included).. V1000 will probably take a GTX as well.

Out of interest, how come the 8800gtx wont fit?

I run an 8800GTX in a P182 case, and it wasn't a problem to fit. The only reason I know that it might not fit is if you have loads of HDD's and need to use both bottom and middle cages.

a GTX length card WILL fit, you just can't use the middle drive bay for HDDs

I believe that they are wrong. I have a 8800 GTX in my P180 and it fits... and so do lots of people and the 182 is not smaller and is identical in this aspect I believe. I have 4 drives in the lower chamber and one in the upper chamber. It does restrick the number of drives installed in the upper chamber thoiugh.

I am happy with my Antec 900 case. I am using a 8800 GTX in it and the case is very cool. Are you factoring in noise level in your decision ? I am getting amazing temps with my system but the noise level is a couple decibels higher than I was expecting.

I've got an original Gigabyte Aurora, and my 8800 GTS fits in that just fine. Plenty of cooling to boot, and was only £75.

i thik i may go for the p182 as it looks like the 8000 gt/gtx cards fit

they do indeed fit fine and its a fantastic case. I've done 2 builds for people using them..can't fault it really. Bit heavy but amazing for cooling and silence.

the stacker 832 is about 130 on today only when its on, might be worth waiting for that!

The GTX fit's 100% fine in the p182, just finished my 3rd build with the above.

Ans as a bonus, it is exceptionally quiet with stock fans, and the cable management is second to none, definately recommend the p182, and the only reason i would buy a different case is for looks. (not a huge fan of the looks of the p182, but i'm a picky fool ) Lian-Li all the way for me

I like Lian-Li for the build quality as much (or probably more) than it's looks. Their cases are solid.
