    Digital Speakers...

    Ive just ordered myself some Creative 5500 5.1 digital speakers, I currently use some Creative DTT2200 5.1 analogue speakers which are getting pretty old now.

    To anyone with digital speakers, will I tell the difference using the digital out of the NF7-S's soundstorm (or any other soundstorm enabled MB)?

    Any comments appreciated.

    Digital is easier and usually better than analogue, depending on the decoder in the speakers.

    How much were they?

    If the 5300s are anything to go by, your DTT2200s might be better But I dunno

    I paid £110 for them 'computer fixing money' though, so it isn't like its out of my pocket directly.

    Are the 5300's bad or something?

    The 5300s are awful, but they only costed about £50. Lol. Those 5500s actually look not bad. Good purchase

    Ill never go back to analog anyway. I didnt see much of a difference going to digital from analog but i defo noticed a difference going from digital to analog on another computer. Sounds weird but thats how it is

    Wow, got my speakers today, just listening to the Corrs Unplugged, sounds mega, very very clear. Soundstorm AC3 rawks
