hi i seem to be having a terrible time choosing a psu lol
i have narrowed it down to these 2 will need to run a
barton xp2500
dvd rom
cdrw
h/d
fx5900 with own power input
and in the very near future a dfi ultra2 mobo which has its own power input aswell
5 fans thats it these are the 2
budget is not great im afraid

i have a enhance 460 watt psu and it's ok, i wouldn't recommend it as for a few extra quid you can buy a cwt which i would recomend for that sort of money
my psu was loud it had the same fans as the gold q-tec psu's,it was so loud,so i swapped them for a couple of panaflo's and it's quiet now lol
my rails are ok
+12v=12.416

i can't comment on the other as ive had no knowledge of it sorry

I've got the 420w version of the Thermaltake. Excellent - very quiet, rails are solid and quite often run a few fans, 9800 and a couple of HDD's, two optical drives and never had a problem. If you need the 480w go for it but the 420w one will save you close to £20.
Seeing as you are going to get a DFI...
I have an Infinity NFII Ultra which was originally powerd by a CWT 450W, I then changed to a Tagan 480W which showed a noticeable improvement on the rails vs. the CWT & a subsequent improvement in overclock (now 2.7GHz on an XP-M 2500) .
So I can recommend the Tagan with the DFI.
If you get a CWT get the 550W as it has seperate rails unlike the 450W.

Yeah - a rail is basically the different supplies of voltage.
I would choose the TT one between those two!

buff looking at that nf11 that you have am i right in thinking this is virtually the same board as the lan party one but without all the extras ie frontx and luminous cables and slots
cuz that would be ideal for what i want as im not really into all the flashy stuff and it could save me a good deal of readys
only a couple of things worry me
if i get it would i need to flash the bios straight the way as im scared stiff of this kind of stuff lol or is it more or less ready to go i looked on the website and there dosent seem to be any major issue updates unless im wrong
also what memory would u suggest i was looking at maybe the geli value or corsair but with it being a nf board can you recommend anything better to run the dual ok
I think you'd be better getting a lower watt psu, but better quality. I'd say the Antec @ ~£48 for the 350w or an Enermax 350w ~£35, I can't see you needing any more than that IMO.
