Antec AMG 1080 ....cool or what?

After reading up on some reviews on the site I decided to buy myself an Antec AMG 1080 case for my new machine. Was most impressed so that when a work colleague was looking for a new case I told him about mine and on that recommendation he got one. He had another problem, The fan blades on his CPU cooler for his P4 had got mangled while he was messing about (don't ask me how) so we also ordered some Zalman coolers which unfortunately went on back order. Next day he came in with a grin from ear to ear. His temps with the knackered fan, can't remember the exact figures,
were actually lower than before when his fan was working fully since installing into the new case.

Good ad or what for Antec? And thanks Hexus for pointing me towards them.

Why is an aluminium case better for cooling? I dont quite get it.

Well its not really, the theory is that ally conducts heat better than steal, but seeing as though the CPU or vid doesnt actualy make contact with the case it makes little difference, larger fans make more difference.

Think with ally cases you generally get better build quality, and its much lighter.

I guess in this case (no pun intended) it must just be the airflow through the case that is doing the job. We both have the additional front 80mm fans fitted and the 2 at the rear seem to shift a lot of air out of the case. I don't have any benchmarks for my own set up as of yet and as I work away I won't be seeing the PC til the weekend to set any up.
