    CPU fan not increasing.

Right so I got a new mobo+cpu earlier this week and have been playing with overclocking, the thing is I cannot get my CPU fan to increase over 1400 RPM which is causing my CPU to have a pretty high idle temperature.

    I am running a PHII x4 955 on a M3A79-T mobo.

I have disabled everything in the bios that would throttle fan speeds in order to save power but it still won't increase, I have tried many programs (AMD Overdrive, Rivatuner, Speedfan) all to no avail.

Is there something obvious I am missing?

Maybe the fan isnt rated to go above 1400rpm. Which cooler/fan are u using ?
    Cheers, David
