ATI HD 5870 fan speed issue

Hi all, I just bought this graphics card and installed it. Everything seems to be working fine, except the fan speed is at 100% all the time, even when I'm just browsing in windows.

The fan goes quiet while the computer is booting up, but once it gets in to Windows, it starts whizzing like I'm in the middle of a game.

I've tried googling for a solution but haven't found one yet. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Thanks

p.s. I have latest drivers installed.

Could try rolling back to previous drivers? Also is it a std card, or one with an aftermarket cooler?

Thanks for the reply. It's one of the standard cards with standard speeds. It's this one:
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/1GB-X...ns-vs-Predator

Also it's installed on to a new hard disk, so there wasn't a previous driver. I just put the latest one on after I finished installing windows. There's nothing else on here yet, just that and sound drivers and stuff. It's Windows 7.

p.s. I just reinstalled the driver and it didn't change.

Nevermind, all sorted now. I just flashed the graphics card bios and it fixed it. Whew.
