Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 vs M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
- Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3, AMD 880G, S AM3, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 2000(OC), SATA 6Gb/s, SATA RAID, ATX
- Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3, AMD 890GX, S AM3, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 2000(OC), SATA 6Gb/s, SATA RAID, ATX
I was just wondering if there's any real difference between these two motherboards? I'm planing to buy a discrete graphics card, so if the difference is only in the GPU, I'd probably go for the cheaper one.
Also, is it possible (and does it make sense) to use the on-board and the discrete GPU together in cross-fire?

The only difference is the GPU and if you run crossfire the 890 gx does 8x/8x just a bit bigger pipe line while the 890g just does 8x/4x, so if your not going to use it for crossfire get the cheaper one. i paid £ 15 difference and got the 890gx as it was a deal but anything over £20 extra i woudl have got teh cheaper model.

Thanks! I'll go with the 880G then and save me some 25 quid; I only plan for one discrete GPU so crossfire or built-in GPU doesn't matter to me too much..
