Question Price check Asus GTX 260

As per title, thinking about selling it on and putting the funds towards a new card.

    The card

Bought last June from Scan, I'm not to sure what the warranty is - any tips to find it appreciated. Comes with all the wires and adapters and all boxes/static bags.

I was thinking £70-80 inc P&P - give or take, depending on delivery option.

    Thoughts ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Re: Price check Asus GTX 260

I got one off feebay on friday with some warranty for that price range. Seemed a good deal to me at the time. If you had offered it for 70 I would have bitten your arm off. I'm beginning to wonder if I got a good deal now but I was a bit desperate.

The second hand market is a little quiet at the moment; there does not seem to be anyone selling. Perhaps the 460 will change as the nv crowd may start migrating; I would try and price it a bit higher and sell quick. The 460 is going to be priced to sell so I imagine the prices will drop as the smaller chip can't be too much to make.

Personally though I would not bother upgrading from a 260 to 460 unless you were seeing slow down. There does not seem to be alot power wise and with a decent OC you should be getting 275/280 speeds. The 460s do look like good fun though.

Re: Price check Asus GTX 260

I'd say £80 would be a fair price for it, although when the gtx460 comes on sale over here that may well change.

However as Ulti posted, you can probably get around £100 for it on fleabay, prices over there see rather high atm.

OK with the gtx460 768mb + 24 ROPs price around £150 and perfromance around the gtx275 I guessing you can get that for it, however we may see a few gtx260's 2nd hand, start appearing.
