Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H Problem
Hi, I recently bought this MB in order to build a 2008 server. The issue I have is that with 4 sticks of RAM in (8Gb) I get a constant beep from the motherboard, and nothing works. If I take out 2 sticks, all is well and the computer starts. I think it might be that the PSU is too weak to power 4 sticks, but not too sure. The PSU is one that came with the ASUS case, as I was trying to keep costs down. Anyone have any ideas?

Full specs?
Have you set the ram up manually in the bios or just left it on auto?

You might need to bump the NB voltage slightly, my main PC won't POST with all slots populated at stock voltage.
Having said that, I've got 4 sticks in my second desktop (very similar motherboard) and that was absolutely fine.

Here's what I bought:
1TB SAMSUNG HD103SJ SATA F3
AMD ATHLON II X4 630 sAM3
GByte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H MoBo
2x4GB TW3X4G1333C9A XMS3 CLASSIC
Asus TS-8B1 Case B/S mATX Towe
MS Win 7 Home Prem 64bit OEM (Replaced with Server 2008)
Samsung SH-S223C/BEWE 22XDVDRW 11.31 13.29
I lef the RAM on auto in the BIOS. I don't think it even got to the BIOS with 4 sticks in.
Re: Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H Problem
With just the two sticks in set up the timings and speed manually then try it with 4 sticks.
Also have you tried it with just the two sticks in different slots? could be a bad slot.

I'll give it a whirl now...

Thanks Pob. The Auto settings were right for my memory, but when I changed them to manual and left them as is, it worked with all 4 sticks. Now for some serious virtualising!
