    which processor?

    currently looking at the following processors but not sure which to buy so some advice needed.

    the motherboard that the processor will run in is an asus M4A785TD-V EVO.

    What will you be using the computer for? You're obviously trying to choose between clock speed and cores, so we need to know the workload you're looking at to decide which is "best"...

    Get the dual core for gaming, and the quad if it's for phot/video work.

    pc will be used for general stuff like surfing net etc but also for some gaming like bad company 2

    sorry to butt in on someone elses thread, but I use mine for photography, video transcoding and music editing. I use a dual core E6550 running at stock with 4GB 800MHz RAM. Would a quad core make that much difference ?
