I currently have Samsung SH-S203N...it has been fantastic for burning DVDs over 2 years.. however it has developed a fault recently, the dvd burn keep failing.
Which DVD-RW Drive do you recommend, top quality?

The technology in them hasn't changed much in several years, although personally I've always had an LG or a Pioneer.
Always had Pioneer since Plextor got out of the consumer market.
Never had a fault with them.
I've got a Pioneer, however I do generally prefer the LG or Samsung as they tend to be a bit quieter

I like the Pioneers myself, Maybe because I always used to change the firmware on them.
I've had Plextor's, Lite-on and some others.
I had two Samsung and they were both faulty so I never bothered with them after that.
I have an HP which does everything i want it to but most importantly it's quiet. I have a Lite-On in the other PC and it is dead loud which really put me off them.
I had a plextor in my old old machine. It was great.
I've got a LiteOn in the machine in my lounge. It is noisy as when it gets going. Sure was cheap though, and it's speedy, just a shame it roars so much. DVD playback isn't too bad, but burning or really churning through a disc while loading and it makes a racket.
Looking for a DVD burner for my new system build which is finally going ahead now GTX460s have arrived. Let me know what you plump for in the end and whether it's any good.
