AHCI Problem in Win7

Hi,

I've just performed the changes explained in the sticky above for using AHCI mode on my SATA disks, however I now have the problem that my 2 SATA optical drives now do not work. They are detected in Device manager, but both with exclamation marks, and the following in the status:

A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)

Do I need to have the SATA in IDE mode for these disks to run? I tried to update the firmware for my LiteOn drive, but it can't detect it do do the update.

Actually, it looks like just a general optical disc problem in Win7...

I've put the system back to IDE, and the drives still don't show up. Quite frustrating.
