If the Photoshop use is extensive, and especially if files are large, consider a second hard drive. It helps to set Photoshop up to use a second hard drive (or more), separate from the one Windows uses for virtual memory or paging.

This drive (or drives) wants to have lots of space available, and/or be defragged regularly, and be as fast as you can afford. I find a WD Black a decent option, if you don't want to go to fast SCSI drives or (noisy) Velociraptors.

If you're working on small files just for web use, it won't be anything like as important, but if it's large Photo files, and complex editing and layering, then it makes quite a difference.

Do you really need hexa core? Unless your doing heavily threaded stuff I can't imagine you'd see much benefit. I don't know what the price difference from X4 to X6 though.

For £800 budget I'd be looking GPU muscle rather than CPU. A 5850 or something along those lines. Depends on where your priorities lie though! Or keep the 5770, go for a lower spec CPU and save some pennies

For most games a Phenom II X4 would be a better choice although if any of your software supports a six core processor well then a Phenom II X6 would be much faster.

I would look at the following parts:

    Phenom II X4 955BE ~ £127

    http://www.scan.co.uk/ShopOffers/Index.aspx

    OR

    Phenom II X6 1055T ~ £157

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/AMD-P...he-125W-Retail

    4GB 1600MHZ DDR3 ~ £86

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/4GB-(...-9-24-XMP-165V

The Phenom II X4 and X6 run RAM in dual channel so you need to go for an even number of DIMMS. If you are not overclocking running the RAM at 1333MHZ using lower latencies is the optimal setting for a Phenom II X4 at stock speeds

    Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 ~ £80

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Gigab...-SATA-RAID-ATX

Uses the AMD 870 chipset and has the SB850 southbridge.

    640GB Western Digital WD6402AAEX Caviar Black ~£51

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/640GB...rpm-64MB-Cache

Some of the Samsung F3 hard drives have issues with the SB850 southbridge. Samsung had released a firmware update for affected drives though.

    768MB Palit GTX 460 ~£151

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/768MB...DVI-D-Sub-HDMI

    620W Seasonic M12II-620 Bronze ~ £70

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

Samsung SATA DVD rewriter ~ £14

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

    Antec 300 ~ £43

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Antec...g-Case-w-o-PSU

The total comes to around £622 to £651.

You might be able to get away with using a Corsair HX450W if you are not overclocking:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/ShopOffers/Index.aspx

I would suggest going for the Dell 2209WA for you monitor:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/179089
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00365EIC...SIN=B00365EICC

    http://www.pcbuyit.co.uk/product_inf...dfec570b42999b

The black version is more expensive than the silver version of the monitor. The retailer in the last link is meant to have a good warranty for the monitors it sells.
