    Graphics card upgrade time

    Hi

I am thinking of upgrading mu graphics card in my system, I have a ASUS Striker extreme mobo and i am currently running a Geforce 8800GTS.

What would be a ideal card to replace this with? I would be looking a spending between £100 - £150 on this?

GTX 460 is top end of that sort of budget, would be an excellent upgrade. But what resolution do you play on, what CPU and RAM do you have and what are you finding it struggling with?

That cpu should still cope fine, overclock it a bit, pushing it up to around 3ghz should be very easy to do.

for graphics card upgrade around £130 the ati 5770 or around £150 the gtx460 768mb
You can also pick up an Ati 5830 for under £150 if you shop around

    Re: Graphics card upgrade time

Just as POB255 said, clock that CPU up to around 3-3.2Ghz and it should help a lot, I cant add anything further to his GPU recommendations, exactly what I would have said. Probably is worth adding another 2GB of RAM if you have the money to do it though. You would notice a difference.
