Re: Success - lots of it.
Nice build! It's already pretty tidy.
What case is that by the way?

Thanks. It's a Lancool K58 which cost a smidgen over £50 and it was really easy to work inside. The expansion port locks are an excellent design and made connecting the GPU a doddle.
Re: Success - lots of it.
The case's insides look so much like the inside of my cooler master case, it's a great design! Your wiring is pretty tidy aswell, alot of people tend to just throw it all together!
Re: Success - lots of it.
Thats looking really good :)
I'm quite jealous of that, it's going to be a long time before I can splash out on a new PC :(
Fancy coming down here and tidying up the insides of my 300 ?
Re: Success - lots of it.
Looking rather good :). Wouldn't say there's any need for cable management tbh; air will easily flow through that case!

Are you anywhere near Hayle and the Philps Pasty Bakery? If so I'll be down in 4 hours the price will be 2 large Premium steak pasties :)

But I'm not happy with the 8 pin cable or the optical sata cable so shall be looking to get them round the back as it were.

I had to keep it tidy so I could work out what everything did and where it went.
Re: Success - lots of it.
I'm not all that far away from there :)

I'm tempted...whose Philps pasties are the best shop bought pasties I've ever tasted, nearly as good as the ones my mum made.

I was thinking the same thing! Looks like a similar concept to the 300 but with much better cable management features. This thread is urging me to mod my 300! :)

that sytem looks ready to pwn teh noobs
Re: Success - lots of it.
Nice clean build, very tidy; might inspire me to do some house keeping.
Re: Success - lots of it.
@Attila the Bun, Great choise of case :)
If you look there's a hole in the motherboard tray just above the 8pin EPS connector on the motherboard, try running that cabel behind the tray to that hole, then feed it through and plug it in.
There should also be a couple of clip, one long one to go into the hole on the floor just infront of the PSU and another short one to go into the holes that up the front of the motherboard tray, these are designed for the PSU cables.
You can turn the hard drive trays around so the connectors are at the back, unplugging them to change a drive becomes a bit more fiddly but it does mean you can hide the drive cables as well.
If you want to put some 140mm fans in the top you'll want a set of these http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cust...roductid=11595 ;)

the lancool is so much more than most of cm's offerings.
If they actually sold the K60 (same case but with top fans included and a couple of other extra bits, then I would of bought it.
Re: Success - lots of it.
That looks very nicely put together.

I tried that but the 8 pin on the Antec is perfectly designed to not quite make it and then get stuck when trying to take it out. I didn't know whether to curse Lancool for the small feed hole or Antec for the overly large connector...so I cursed them both :)

Ahha...I wondered where the smaller clip went.

hmmm...hadn't thought of that but I'll wait until I get the second drive.

Do you think I should badger SCAN into getting some :) Although I could simply pop down to my local hardware store and get 8 rubber grommets that would do the job.

And the K62 definitely isn\'t worth £30 extra for 2 140mm LED fans and a window that shows off some fairly tidy but rather dull electronic components.

Just thought of a couple of other points...the tool-less locking for the HDs is excellent, the system for locking the optical drives isn't, I used the supplied screws.

Oh!...Rather than start a new thread, I saw one that was asking why 4GB Ram only registered as 3.8GB. Mine is doing this even though I've installed Win 7 64 bit and wanted to see the advice. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Re: Success - lots of it.
Did you get the cooler changed in the end? The stock cooler I got was noisy and I soon changed it for a Ninja.
