    Standalone fan controller

I'm looking at getting a fan controller that's simple for my rear exhaust fan. Ideally it'd be a PCI job as is just neater then.

Any suggestions or reccomendations on what to use? Ideally want something cheap (under £5) for what it is.

Yeah I've used that before as well. It doesn't use the slot either

    Re: Standalone fan controller

google around a bit and you can pick one up for about £3.50, although not from any shops I've heard of before There' also the Zalman Fanmate 2 which *genuinely* doesn't use up a PCI slot (although you would need to open your case if you wanted to adjust the fan speed at all...)

    Re: Standalone fan controller

Ahh yea, that's what I meant The caseslot not the slot itself. Hmm, may get one of them then if they do the job Are there any others that are good or are they all pretty much the same?

Yeah, I saw that and I could have it outside the case as there's a PCI metal slot missing so can just thread it through that

    Re: Standalone fan controller

Ordering off amazon as then it's cheaper overall (with scan it doesn't qualitfy for free postage). Is the Zalman I'm going for.

    Re: Standalone fan controller

Hi, just for info, yeh if you look free shipping. Lots use them(so like anything else, you see odd prob), bought a fair few things, never had a prob. You do have to consider price/ warranty & little bit of waiting time(not been bad for me, check stock thou). Few times i prob had to communicate with them, that was good as well. Lots of the time, price diff to buying from UK, warranty hasn't concerned me. There OK thou with probs, but shipping etc could be a slight prob.

    Cheers BOB
