Find out which revision the board is. If it's a Rev. 1 then it's lacking a few things (mainly wake on USB) and probably isn't what you're after. I've got a Rev. 1 but it's in a gaming rig so stuff like wake from USB and undervolting don't matter to me.

    Re: pricing zotac geforce 9300-itx

I'm not ecstatic about it really, no. Too many compromises. You can't switch it on using a remote (so kinda borked for use in a Media PC), there's only 2 SATA connectors (so pretty much useless as a server board) and fan control and overclocking don't work very well (so not great for a gaming board). That's assuming it's the R1 board? By R3 all those issues are ironed out.

Still, it does what I need it to do and there wasn't anything better available at the time. My advise would be to get either the R3 (Zotac 9300-ITX WiFi I-E) or R4 (9300-ITX WiFi K-E). Avoid the D-E (the one I have) and G-E versions. Too many compromises. By the third revision the board has 3 SATA connectors along with an eSATA on the back, fan control is working correctly, Wake-on-USB is working, overclocking has been fixed and there's a better heatsink on the GPU (which has been overclocked). AFAIK the main selling feature of the R4 board is just DDR3 support, so between R3 and R4 it's just down to RAM.

The first revision is probably worth £50-£60 I'd say. Second a little more. Third and fourth more like £80-£90 used.

    Re: pricing zotac geforce 9300-itx

You know your stuff there mate.. im just looking for a solid HTPC matx or itx im not interested in games i just want a perfect HD and audio machine to enjoy Blu ray and my auido cds and happen to come across this board.. (ANY others you can recommend would be good)

i don’t think i will use the ddr3 for my needs, the usb wake would be good but if i can save some money i could get off my ass a press the power button lol

There is a intel quad 9450 cpu that goes with it.. i was thinking this could be over kill what’s your thoughts ?
Any more info would be much appreciated mate thanks a lot ian
