Scroll Wheel mouse

Hi

I recently got a mini-mouse for my laptop, plugged it in and the scoll wheel didnt work, it came with a driver CD which I've installed the correct drivers from, still nothing, so I updated the drivers off the net and the scoll wheel still doesn't work. anyone know why its not working? I really hate not having a scoll wheel...is it a software issue or is this an RMA issue?
