    Budget PC build

    Hi guys,

Basically my computer has fried, so looking to replace a few bits..

I want to try and get a half decent CPU/mobo - then some tide-me-over memory to go with it. Will be replacing GFX and Memory in the new year.

    Stuff I have..

    PSU - Corsair HX 620W
    GFX - XFX 8800GTS 512mb
    HDD - Samsung 1TB F3

Been looking at the AMD Athlon II X3 440 and slightly more expensive AMD Phenom II X2 555, but unsure..

Mobo i'd prefer gigabyte/asus and ATX as I have a full size tower.

Budget £150 (for cpu, mobo and memory)

Mainly use the PC for surfing and world of warcraft.

    Any suggestions?

    Re: Budget PC build

I would definitely go for the tri-core as for gaming (I assume) 3 cores is the sweet spot and can possibly be unlocked to a X4.

On the motherboard front, something from the 880/890 range ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
