Watercooling - suppliers & kits
i know w/c threads have been done to death recently, but here is another sorry
am finally gonna take the plunge and look at w/c my rig shortly (or longly - depends on what happens over the next few weeks) just to get it that bit quieter and cooler.
so initally looking to do cpu only - may think about gpu, but only bolted on an artic twin turbo a couple of months ago. so it will be cooling my q9450 which i got cheap from a friend :clapping: - at least it was a cheap upgrade without having to go the whole hog and much cheaper than a q66 from fleabay. now as usual i'm wanting to do it not so much on the cheap but not paying through the nose....if you know what i mean. so really looking for want of a better term - a starter(ish) kit
has anybody got experience of ordering from watercoolinguk.co.uk? are they any good. i only ask i found this complete kit - minus coolant for which i may well use distilled water + additive, unless anyone has better suggestions.
wcuk Pro360
looks like everything is there and for £130 is it value for money without being bottom of the pile in terms of product quality.
they also have the next one up
wcuk exterme360
although this is more, is it £100 more in terms of componant?
have found basically the same kits at speicaltech for a bout £30 more - albeit with slightly better pumps.
another question. should i choose to do my 4870 as well, i would need a block which i'm struggling to find. fleabay have got many if at all (or for stupid money) and must block makers only seem to have the x2 block on list - do they nat make a block for a standard 4870 anymore? i mean i've seen one for a 4850x2 (didn't even know there was one :stupid:). so does anyone know where i may be likely to be able to get one?
Re: Watercooling - suppliers & kits
personally (and a lot of water coolers will back this up) use tom at www.chilledpc.co.uk
while he may not be the cheapest he is the best and will personally answer questions via email and source stock for you.
after tom i tend to use http://www.candccentral.co.uk/ as they also offer the personal small company attitude to get bits out to you at short notice ! they don't carry a lot of stock but none the less i have had faultless service each time.

Re: Watercooling - suppliers & kits
personaly i would buy an ek x-res as they have no weld's to come apart, just 1 piece of plexi with a o ring sealed top and bottom. you can also add the anti cyclone plates to them to keep the flow stable.
