    Question Scroll Wheel for games

For some reason I've never been able to get the scroll wheel to function as it should in games (i.e. scrolling through available weapons in Half Life, Unreal Tournament, 2004, Far Cry, Halo, Call of Duty). Am I missing something, or has anybody else experienced the same issues? It's a Logitech MX700 btw.

    Thanks Muchly

You could try installing MouseWare again (the drivers etc that come with Logitech mice). Go into the properties and configure everything. In my properties, under the buttons tab, my scroll wheel is configured as universal scroll. try setting yours as that and see if it works.

    good luck.

I have the MX700, have had it for aaaages, never EVER installed the mouse ware drivers, they are resource hogging pap.

ok so the button that does alt tab commands does not work, but XP drivers work fine for all the other buttons and whats more, the scroll wheel works in games, including Far Cry...hmmm miss that game already, really wish I had not finished it through sleep deprevation techniques lol

Try it without mouseware installed and see what happens...
