    sat nav and mp3

    Hello,
Im looking for a device that has decent space for music say 16gb and has a satnav with decent priced maps and hopefully fm transmitter.

is there any similar products to the archos 5 internet tablet?
the video says try the satnav for 7days but doesnt say how much it will cost after that.

If my tomtom comes back repaired for free I would be possibly looking for just a new mp3 player 16gb decent battery life with fm transmitter built-in or a decent separate one.

    thanks in advance

Budget? Screen Size? Other features ?

If a small screen is acceptable, you might consider a phone with a sat-nav app onboard, and connect an FM transmititter when you are in your Car.

For example, I have been eying up a Nokia C5, which comes with free navigation, can take micro SD cards up to 16Gb, and has a standard 3.5mm headphone socket for music. The built in music player is a bit rubish, but the open source OggPlayer app is quite good in my experence. The phone costs about £130 SIM free. The downside is that the screen is quite small.

On the oposite end of the cost spectrum, you could consider an iPad with a navigation app. TheRegister.co.uk recently did a group test of phone based navigation apps.

I don't need a massive screen. I mainly just listen to the voice. its just for a quick glance at tricky junctions and setting the location.
Around £100-200 i would think as a budget.
