Laptop Recommendations - £1000 budget
Hello everyone....
I recently bought a Sony Vaio S-series notebook on a bit of an impulse. This was because they were offering an i7 upgrade for free, normally costing £230. However, I noticed that the palmrest is bent - whether that was me or from the factory it doesn't matter, I've only had it for a week and I've been very nice to it so it shouldn't be like that.
I talked to Sony, and they said I could either straight up replace it...or have my money back. What I'd like to ask you guys is whether you have any suggestions on other laptops that I could buy if I chose to have the money back. Requirements are:
- 13.3" Screen or less
- Light weight (preferably around 2kg)
- Metal chassis
- Good multimedia performance
- Decent battery life
Anywhere up to £1000 is okay with me.
The specs of the Vaio that I have at the moment are:
- i7 620m 2.66
- 4gb RAM
- 320gb 7200rpm HDD
- 13.3" Screen
- DVD-RW
- Built-in WWAN
Can you think of anything to best that?! Thanks for any help you can give.
Tim

For £1000 you can buy yourself a very powerful laptop with screen of 15-17.
But these 2 laptop i would reconmend buying if you want a 13-14" laptop:

I know I could get a 15 or 17 inch one...but I'm going to be carrying it around a lot, so I really don't want it to be large. And I just think that 13" is more or less the perfect size for a note book :)
