I got a Coolermaster Silent Pro 600w and it runs an i7 920 plus a GT 250 no bother at all. Was pretty good value for money and is modular so pretty handy. Only two 6/8pin PCIE connectors though so not sure if thats enough for you.

Without listing the components which are going to be used it's impossible to sugest any thing.
What Attila the Bun posted is sound advice, one thing to note here is that the cpu & graphics card will be using around 90% of the power requirements between them, these are the two big things that need power in a computer.
Rule of thumb for a hard drive is around 20watts max so a large raid array of 5-6 drives will have an impact but one or two will not matter much.

To be fair to it, I put in my system specs and it told me to buy the PSU I bought originally as advised by lovely Hexus! You could do it and then pick the smallest advised.
This thread has raised an issue for me as I'm shortly about to order a Scan P55 OC system. When you select the i3 upgrade option you have to choose the 650W Corsair modular PSU (i know they will fit other PSUs if asked). Now I just used Scan's own PSUconfig tool linked above and even with selecting a moderate overclock (which 4Ghz isn't) and 2 GPUs it still recommends a minimum of 750W. The conflicting message here is a bit confusing.
I trust Scan's judgement but now I'm concerned that 650W isn't enough to SLI and have enough left over to add extra drives etc if required later.
What do you think? (sorry if this should have been posted on Scan's section).
EDIT: I have just notice the posts advising that these estimators generally over-estimate a lot so I looked at some more reviews and found this which has put my mind at rest:

it will be things like a intel core i5 6661 3.33ghz processor

graphics card: ocuk geforce 8800gts 640mb gddr3
Is this stuff you already have, or are you looking to buy? Reason I ask is the video card is a bit long in the tooth and I'm sure there might be some better options atm.
What's your overall budget (including the PSU)? I'm sure some of the gurus on here will spec a setup for you if you give them the limit of what you can afford.
As it stands I would have thought a decent 500/550w PSU would run that system without a problem.
Something like this would be a reasonable budget PSU

I have to agree with the above poster that around 500W is the mark your after, but that PSU is a terrible choice. PSUs are a part of your system that you cant afford to compromise on. You want to be looking at the decent brands here:
Corsair, Bequiet, OCZ, Silverstone, enermax. Any of these brands will see you well, theres a good reason their equivant units cost much more.
