hi can anyone recommend a hdmi to dvi cable?

Any.
They either work or they don't, and expensive one does not improve sound or picture over a cheap one. The only reason to stay away from mega cheap eBay cables is because they have a tendency to not work at all or to fall apart too easily.

Even with that one, most of the description is irrelevant.
1080p? if it doesn't do that it is fundamentally broken, you should return any cable that doesn't do that
Gold plated? big deal.
"Certified Pro Quality"? what does that even mean?
"99.97% Oxygen Free"? I presume that refers to the copper conductors inside the cable. I bet virtually every single cable sold by scan, right down to telephone extensions use 99.97% copper.
Or any Tesco Value HDMI cable if you have one near by. Don't be swayed by claims of expensive cables, it's all lies.

Can probably get cheaper with Amazon/eBay though.
Here's the Amazon Basics HDMI to DVI cable
Benefit being if there are any issues (highly unlikely) it's an amazon product so you can deal with them directly.
I'd agree with Funkstar's comments, but only if you are not going over very long lengths, i.e. 10m+, in that case you want something decent as it can/will suffer from intererence at that length.
I got a 15m Fisual HDMI cable which sparkled at 1080p/50 and 1080p/60, yet the 15m Keene cable I got was fine with those resolutions.
As Skinleech said, it's only on long 10m+ cables that you get major quality issues.

Just to reinforce what Funkstar said, paying 5 million pounds on a HDMI cable (slight exaggeration maybe ) won't make any difference to the quality, expensive cables are a complete scam. Expect to pay about a fiver: http://www.amazon.co.uk/2m-HDMI-DVI-...3451260&sr=8-3
@Funkstar: Gold plated usually means they gold plate the outside bit that only connects to ground and carries no signal as most data cables have gold-plated connectors anyway.
I love it when they sell optical cables with gold conductors, surely no one is stupid enough to fall for that.
