    NF7-S Gameport :S

As you all know the motherboard has no gameport. Ok so i thought i would connect up my old soundcard (some CMedia thing), i put it in, installed the drivers and restarted, the pc crashes on the loading screen. I went into safe mode fine and disabled the sound chip and i can get in to windows then, the only thing is there is no gameport driver for it, even when the sound is enabled in safe mode.
I really need my gameport and cant figure out how to get it workig
Ive even tried disabling onboard sound but no luck.

The latest Nforce drivers shouldnt have this problem, but its also dependent on the sound card drivers.
Creative had to update their drivers so the gameport on their cards would work with NF2 based boards, as this issue sounds similar, maybe the Cmedia drivers have an update ?

There's no gameport on the NF7-S? Why is there an enable and disable feature in bios? I'm not doubting there's not a gameport i've never used a gameport in my life and have no idea what one looks like i'm just wondering why have an enable disable feature in bios when there's no connection anyway? Strange.

Ive just got myself a, NF7-S and found it has no game port. Is a sound card with a game port the only way around this prob?

Yes, unless you can find a card with a gameport only on it. Or a Gameport->USB adaptor.

wasn't the gameport provided via it on a pci slot and a smaller ide looking like cable which plugged into the motherboard, would explain why I have this in my nf7-s box

What do you plug into the gameport? Just thinking it may be less hassle to get yourself a new joystick/gamepad?

There would be a socket on the mobo someplace. Bit like the USB headers I would think.

Thats what im after, race driver 2, however i dont see the point in buying a USB-Gameport adapter as they dont always work well, i wouldnt mind using my sound card but it just wont pick up the gameport. i have no option for that in the bios either, and no pci adapter thing. may look like a new steering wheel for me
