    antec 900 front usb port

    Hello,
on the top of my antec 900 the usb port next to the firewire port works but the other one next to the other usb port and left of the power button doesnt work.
    any ideas?
simple things first like trying to push in certain front port cables etc.

Re: antec 900 front usb port

The Antec 900 only has 2 USB ports - you post implies that therte are three - are you sure it is USB?

However things to check are the header plug from the socket to the mobo, see if it has worked loose. You could swap the header from the one that works to the other one - if that is then OK the problem is either the connecting cqable or the port on the mobo.

Could be a broken cable maybe...

Try swapping it out if you have extras...

Other than that there aint much you can do.

I had a port not work on my current rig and I couldn't be bothered to RMA it over one port...

Re: antec 900 front usb port

I recently bought an Antec 900 case and I have the same problem. However, my left USB port is the faulty one, while the rightmost port functions just fine. No idea why this should be. I'm also not about to send back my entire case for one front USB port.

Re: antec 900 front usb port

I hope that this topic is still active. I have an Antec 300, which has a similar front panel, minus the firewire port. Sometimes when I plug in something to the left front USB port the computer goes to the black screen of death, and freezes. I assumed an installation problem, but now I believe there may be an inherent problem with the case. I'm not sure if the problem exists with the right front USB port.

Any (constructive) suggestions would be appreciated.
