hi well i assembled my pc recently and the 8 pin cable is a bit short and i cant find any extenders and it made my cable management even worse , not saying its great but if i were to buy a graphics card what am i going to do, look:

Perhaps so it can be used with two graphics cards with 4 pins each, or two 4 pin connectors instead of an 8.

I would also say the 4+4 would be like the 20/24pin ATX cables you get where the extra 4 pins are detachable to make it fit in the smaller connector.
Not everyone has a motherboard with EPS 12V (the 8 pin connection). So if you make an extender that will do both 8pin EPS 12V and 4pin ATX 12V you can sell one product to more peopleOriginally Posted by shakerist
