    CPU Cooler

    Hello all,

I am planning an upgrade to an i7 CPU (Socket 1366) and was just looking to see if anyone could recommend a decent cooler? Preferrably not a bolt through kit.

More than likely won't be OC'ing right away, but could possibly be in the future.

There are way too many decent ones to list.

Cheapskate I picked up a Xigmatek HDT-S963 on Scan for ~£11 in clearance, works really well.

Otherwise pretty much anything by Scythe usually does well.

Personally any 120mm fan based tower cooler with a PWM fan set it up correctly and it'll be very quiet.

The Coolermaster hyper 212 plus is very good for £20 it's copeing with my i5 750

idels at 35c with the fan at 860rpm @3.1ghz 1.25v(stock vcore) and is probably the quietest fan in my system.

Most of the large cooler use bolt though type systems now.

    Re: CPU Cooler

Corsair H50 is a good cooler I've found frees up space around your motherboard, but I'd advise looking into push/pull or going for the h70
