    Question Eyefinity Question

    Hi Everyone,

I currently have 3 computer monitors, 2 x 24" 1080p and one 22" 1080p. I'd like to use eyefinity, but before I buy the displayport adapter I'd like to know a bit more about it.

I have 2 x hd 5770's crossfired and I'm unsure as to whether or not crossfire plays nicely with eyefinity, does anyone know if crossfire + eyefinity works well?

Secondly, I want to connect 2 of the monitors to the computer with DVI cables and the third with a hdmi cable. Am I correct in assuming that I would then have to buy the displayport adapter, and connect my main monitor to it while the other 2 monitors are connected with hdmi and DVI?

Finally, could someone please give me a link to a reasonably priced active displayport adapter?

    Thanks.

    Re: Eyefinity Question

+1 on this info as I am looking to move to a 5xxx series card to get away from running a 4870 and 3850 together.

Will this adapter work?, it seems to be an active displayport adapter.

    Re: Eyefinity Question

Yes the Sapphire one is supposed to support eyefinity

Yes it does work with crossfire, heck for games at 1080p x3, crossfire is pretty much required.
Adding two extra screens worth of output is a fairly hefty bump in gpu demand.
