    Sky multi room

Hi all i have sky tv with the hd pack. I have an sd box upstairs which sky provided to view all my channels there. I really dont need my full channel package upstairs as the free channells would suffice. Can i cancel sky multi room after 12 months have elapsed and save £10 and still recieve the freesat channels

If it's a Sky+ box, the recording feature won't work any more as I understand it.

    Re: Sky multi room

Unless you pay Sky each month, you can't use the additional features of Sky+

Or at least that always was the case.

    Re: Sky multi room

    Correct

A Sky+ box without a Sky subscription is just a regular box with a very bad interface and EPG. You cannot use it as a Freesat DVR.

    Re: Sky multi room

Thanks to all who contributed. The box in the bed room is a standard box which delivers standard definition. I dont need all channels so i will cancel sky multi room and expect to retain all free to air channels in the bedroom. The living room box is a sky hd type and i wish to retain it as at present.
