Budget Socket A mobo

I want to upgrade my parents Pc by using my old stuff. I have an xp2200+ and need a new mobo(and prob another 512 ram). Looking for a fairly decent but cheap mobo with onboard sound. Not worried about overclocking as they will only ever run it at stock speed.

Any ideas/suggestions? Budget of around £50 preferred.

My suggestion here would be either the Asus A7N8X-X for £47 form here:

I'd go for the Asus myself. The Abit NF7 and NF7-S have this annoying fan on the northbridge that tends to go noisy and need replacing. Or at least it has on mine, my brothers, and my housemates.

if its only for ur olds and to run at stock the asrock k7S8X or similar should be fine or any km400 based mobo (asus do a good un thats cheap) ,there's more to socket A than the A7N8X-X and Abit NF7 and the nforce chipset ppl ;)

not mine because I replaced it with a passive h/sink. But thats all abit (no pun intended) in material when it's FUBARd cos of a bad flash :P

Latest NF7's have a new northbridge fan. Still nothing amazing though, but it does the job.

£37.50 gets you a Biostar nForce2 ultra 400 board fr. Dabs, http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/comp...quicklinx=30Y3 . Realtek 650 onboard AC97 audio only, though.

£43.51 would buy you the dual channel version ( http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/comp...quicklinx=30Y5 )

£46 gets you the M7NCG-400; MATX form factor only, though. 1x AGP, 3xPCI. Realtek audio, but it DOES have integrated GF4MX graphics, don't know whether thats an issue for you. Details as per http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/m...me=M7NCG%20400.
