ok guys which of these two mobos please

hi guys

gonna get a new mobo maybe in the next 20 minutes lol

i think i have narrowed it down to these 2

my prob is i hate flashing boards with new bioses scares me stiff

anyways heres the 2 boards

cheers guys will be putting a barton xp2500 or xp2800 in it also 512 meg 2x256 ram

if any of you guys have these boards please put which ram you are using so i know which works ok cheers

Abit has the better rep if your going for the O/C. But i've NEVER had a single problem with any of the 7 Asus motherboards I've owned.

I had the A7N8X-E-Deluxe before I decided to change over to a DFI Lanparty. Asus makes rock solid boards but after having so many of them I was just feeling a bit jaded. I've learnt my lesson now after having a few problems with the DFI (great aftersales support tho) so on my next upgrade I'll be heading back to Asus cap in hand.

Oh and I was using 2*256 of Mushkin's finest blue kit pc3200 dimms .

Ive just got a NF7-S v2.0. Its fantastic... its easy to update bios, easy to OC... its gets my vote

You download a flash utility so you can update through windows, very quick n easy.

You can update the BIOS in windows, by clicking one button, so you dont need to worry about that :)

Either, both are great boards and both are capable of flash-updates through windows :)

If you can't decide, flip a coin :)

Go for the abit nf7-s, I've had no problems since i got mine. Touch wood :p

Can't talk about the Asus, but the Abit has beeb rock solid for me, and overclocking has been trouble free (so far). No negative points, nothings broken (yet...)

Abit gets my vote too :)
