Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
£70 keyboard + wine = non working keyboard...
i did this on Saturday night, fell asleep after doing it (didn't think much had gone in). get woken up by Pc coming out of sleep and couldn't turn it off. so I hit the off button and looked at it in the morning. tipped the keyboard up and wine was dripping out of the corner... not good.
Tried giving it qa rinse and letting it dry and its not worked so got it in totally in bits now, washed it and letting it dry out. (the ctrl key seems to be stuck)
Fingers crossed and let that be a lesson to other fans of expensive keyboards. Just glad i didn't buy that Optimus now.
Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
any chance u can call them and tell them its faulty?
I know logitech for one are amazing at replacing items. I emailed em once saying one of the clickers was sticking. They send me a brand new G5, and asked me to chop old g5 cable in half so i cant use it again. lol

Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
Not sure if the lyrcosa has any LCD parts or anything but i once spilt orange juice on my saitek eclipse II and it turnt out dead...
Put it in the dishwasher (making sure it wasnt too hot, dont want to melt the plastic.)
and it came out working and it looked brand spanking new.
Perhaps worth a shot if you are all out of options?

Acetone and some q-tips to clean the PCB and other parts, leave it to dry in an airing cupbard?
Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
Ironically if it was a £3 keyboard it would be fine :/

Yep, sadly I can confirm my cheapo keyboard can absorb a decent Fleurie....
Hope you get it sorted feller.
Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
Warm water, rinse, wipe and air dry
I've sorted out a toshiba laptop that encountered red wine, had to take it all apart and rinse each bit, but it worked and is still running today.
However I did need to get a new keyboard as you cannot take laptop keyboards apart to clean the contact sheets easily (if at all)
Some of the keys worked but not all of them.
Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
Well, I had it in bits and washed dried it (was still a bittle damp like). Still dead tho (ctrl key seems stuck, some keys work some don't).
Pretty sure the PCB is fine, think it might just be moisture in the track mat thing. Il have to take it to bits gain tho as I pressed the space key and its stayed down so cleary somethings slightly up with the way I put it back together.
Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
I'd try and get that ctrl key unstuck since that could be causing some trouble.
I had one of those acrylic imac keyboards in the kitchen sink the other week and it works perfectly now and is nice and clean.
Just make sure it's completely dry so nothing can be shorting the pcb.
Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
Might bung it in the dishwasher if it still doesn't work tonight..
Re: Only went and split wine in my Razor Lycosa mirror edition!
I challenge anyone to spill a can of guinness on a keyboard (even a cheap one) and have it survive. I ruined a dell keyboard that way, tried a lot of things in vain to get it working including full disassembly and cleaning with IPA.
Best of luck to the OP.
