Overclock problems
This morning I decided to overclock my P4 1.8 to see if I could sqeeze some extra performance out of it on my internet server/Back-up machine. Basically I think I may have gone a bit high with the clocking as I now can access the bios i.e. system hangs after detecting the processor and RAM and crucially before I can hit the DEL key to access the settings I need to return the processor settings to there defaults.
Do I need to clear the CMOS? If so how?
My specs are
MSI 6534 MOTHERBOARD
P4 1.8
512Mb PC133

Look in the manual for the cmos reset jumper, or if you have no manual, have a look on the msi website for the pdf..

Or if all else fails, pop out the C-Mos battery for a few minutes.

Fixed now, Cheers Falcon. Cleared the CMOS with jumper.
