No Sound SN45g

just installed a new SN45g but have no sound from front or back connections. I have reinstalled drivers and checked bios for enabled

any ideas?

humm..... reset the cmos? never know... may default something in the bios that ya've missed?

ok reinstalled and all working, i think service pack4 win2000 screwed it up

Reinstalled what? I've got the same problem. Did you have to clear the cmos, or just reinstall windows? I've reinstalled windows once already, tough I didn't reformat. I think the order of driver install is important. Let me know exactly what you did.

Did you ever get this working or figure it out? I have the same setup (SN45G) and same problem. I'm running Windows XP and have SP1 installed. I even downloaded the 3.13 nForce driver from Nvidia, but still all is silence.

Any help greatly appreciated!

i had similar but not the same, sound worked, but the mic wouldnt work, solved it by buying a soundcard.

I have a problem with sound as well. I cannot get the centre speaker working on my cambridge soundworks DTT2200, although the rest of the speakers (including sub) work fine. Also when plugging in headphones into the front port, the left&right speakers are disabled but the remaining speakers stay active. On top of this, the nvidia sound panel stopped working forcing me to reinstall it.

It took me ages fiddling with the control panel to get the sound working. Mic was disabled so had to hunt it out and enable it, speaker setup wizard wasn't very helpful.

I had the same problem but it only occured when I changed the setting on my RAM try turning RAM performance down to optimal
