Where did my core go?

'noon All,

I have a question.

My new build has 2 modes of standby; The first is the usual and will reactivate by simply touching the mouse or keyboard, the second mode launches after about 15 minutes of mode 1.

Mode 2 is as near as completely off as you can get and requires the hitting of the return button to wake it up. Most of the time this operation carries out without a problem but I have had 2 occasions when it has hung and I've had to use the reset which results in a "Blue Screen" followed by an emergency shut down.

First occasion no problem, 2nd occasion and I noticed I was down to 3 cores. A quick peruse of the manual lead me to the right place to correct this error which I promptly did.

My question is, has anyone else have this dual standby feature and experienced this problem?
If so is there an answer or should I just disable the mode 2 standby (if I can)?

I cant help with your missing core, but can you not disable it from going into that second standby mode thus stopping it from hanging and causing issues?
